Individual, Couple, and Family Sessions
We offer professional, confidential, and targeted sessions to address and treat the underlying causes and overt symptoms of various disorders and relationship difficulties on an individual, couple, and/or family level according to the specific needs of each client and his or her environment. With the participation of all involved parties as appropriate, the course of therapy is considerably more effective and valuable.
DBT Skills Training Groups
With separate groups for men, women, and female adolescents, our DBT skills training groups are an integral part of therapy for many of our clients. The groups meet weekly for an hour and a half to actively learn – and practice – mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness strategies.
CBT Dieting Groups for Women
Facilitated by Bashi Levine, LPC, our dieting groups are designed to provide skills and support for women of all ages struggling with diet implementation. The strategies and concepts addressed are based on the principles of The Beck Diet Solution, an approach that focuses on targeting and managing unhelpful thought and behavior patterns that interfere with dieting. The groups convene for education and encouragement in the use of cognitive-behavioral tactics for successful weight loss or health maintenance on any diet plan.
In addition to personal therapy, The Center for Cognitive & Behavioral Therapy of New Jersey offers training opportunities for professionals to learn central cognitive-behavioral methods and strategies to implement into their own therapeutic treatment. The Center for CBT offers consultations along with treatment recommendations with our highly professional and thoroughly skilled therapists for specific concerns and matters. One may discuss an individual situation with or without committing to a full course of therapy.
