About

About Us

Therapy is a multi-disciplinary affair; there is no universal strategy for treatment. At The Center for CBT, we address every case individually, using various evidence-based therapeutic models to provide the most effective care.

Our Treatment Methods

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, practical form of psychotherapy, originally developed to treat depression but adapted for a broad range of conditions, particularly anxiety-related disorders. The approach is focused and goal-oriented, hinging on the principle that our thoughts affect every area of life. Due to CBT's problem-focused nature, we employ feedback and precise measures to track progress.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a subset of CBT that combines traditional cognitive-behavioral methods with concepts of mindfulness and acceptance. The emotionally- and behaviorally-based approach is used to treat a range of conditions, including borderline personality disorder, mood disorders, and substance abuse, and consists of specific skill training sessions in individual and group capacities.

Schema-Focused Cognitive Therapy

Also known briefly as Schema Therapy, this module is an integrative treatment that combines several aspects of cognitive-behavioral, experiential, interpersonal and psychoanalytic therapies. Schema Therapy draws on imagery and emotions to address the origin of maladaptive behavior.
