Individual, Couple, and Family Sessions

We offer professional, confidential, and targeted sessions to address and treat the underlying causes and overt symptoms of various disorders and relationship difficulties on an individual, couple, and/or family level according to the specific needs of each client and his or her environment. With the participation of all involved parties as appropriate, the course of therapy is considerably more effective and valuable.

DBT Skills Training Groups

With separate groups for men, women, and female adolescents, our DBT skills training groups are an integral part of therapy for many of our clients. The groups meet weekly for an hour and a half to actively learn – and practice – mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness strategies.

Consultations

The Center for CBT offers consultations along with treatment recommendations with our highly professional and thoroughly skilled therapists for specific concerns and matters. One may discuss an individual situation with or without committing to a full course of therapy.

Professional Training

In addition to personal therapy, The Center for Cognitive & Behavioral Therapy of New Jersey offers training opportunities for professionals to learn central cognitive-behavioral methods and strategies to implement into their own therapeutic treatment.

Skills Groups for Mothers of Children with Anxiety

Our Anxiety groups are designed to provide skills and support for mothers of school aged children struggling with anxiety. We meet for 6 weekly group sessions in a small and interactive setting. The strategies and concepts addressed are designed to help parents understand their children’s anxiety and its manifestations, identify and explain various anxiety disorders and their effects on everyday life, and teach parents detailed, practical strategies that may be implemented in place of or in conjunction with individual therapy.
